Privacy Policy
Pending legal review. This policy describes what the current version of the app actually does. The legal name and postal address of the developer, and a review by a qualified professional, are still to be added. Until then, contact us at the address below with any question.
This policy explains how the Lines Pop mobile game for iOS and Android ("the app", "we") handles information. Lines Pop has no user accounts and no game server: you play without signing in, and your game progress is not uploaded anywhere.
1. Data stored only on your device
Your current game, best score, run statistics and settings (sound, haptics, reduced motion) are saved in the app's local storage on your device. We cannot access them. They are deleted when you uninstall the app.
2. Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics)
We use Firebase Analytics, a service of Google, to understand how the game is played and to fix problems: for example how long runs last, how often the game is opened, and which app versions are in use.
What is collected:
- Game events we define: a run starting, a run ending (final score, moves, lines cleared, special balls used, longest chain, run duration in seconds, whether it was a new personal best, and whether the board filled up or you restarted), a new personal best, and a board helper being used.
- Information Firebase collects automatically: an app-instance identifier generated by Firebase, first open, sessions and engagement time, app version, device model, operating system and version, language, and approximate location (country/region) derived from the IP address. On iOS this includes the identifier for vendor (IDFV).
What is not collected: your name, email address, contacts, precise location, photos or other personal content. The app does not collect the advertising identifier: on Android the advertising-ID permission is removed from the app, and on iOS the app does not ask for tracking permission (App Tracking Transparency), so the IDFA is not available. Advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization signals are set to "denied" in Firebase.
Google processes this data on our behalf. Firebase user-level data retention is set to 2 months. See Firebase privacy information and Google's Privacy Policy.
3. Advertising (Google Mobile Ads SDK) — currently not active
The app includes the Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) SDK, but advertising is currently switched off: the SDK is not started and no ads are requested or shown. If we turn ads on in a future version, we will update this policy before that version is released. At that time:
- Users in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent through Google's consent message (a certified consent management platform) before personalized ads are served, and can change their choice later in the game's Settings.
- On iOS, the system App Tracking Transparency prompt will be shown, and the IDFA will only be used if you allow it.
- Google may collect device identifiers, IP address and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads, as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
4. Unity engine
Lines Pop is built with the Unity engine. Unity may collect limited technical information about the device (such as hardware model and operating system) when the app starts. See Unity's Privacy Policy.
5. In-app purchases
The app currently has no in-app purchases and does not process payment information.
6. Purposes and legal bases
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| Running the game, saving progress | Local saves on your device | Performance of the service you requested |
| Understanding usage, fixing problems | Firebase Analytics data listed above | Legitimate interest in improving the game |
7. Children
Lines Pop is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your data. Because analytics data is tied to a random app-instance identifier and not to your identity, uninstalling the app resets it. To ask us to delete analytics data associated with your device, contact us at the address below; we may need the app-instance identifier to find it. We do not sell personal information.
9. Changes
We will update this page when the app's data practices change, and change the date at the top.
